Prevent Falls in Older Adults by Staying Active

You must know elderly fall is a big problem. However, do you know the correct way to reduce fall risk?


When our age increase, we become more likely to fall because of poor balance, weaker muscles and stiffer joints. Therefore, we should encourage the elderly to exercise more, rather than overprotect them and further reduce their physical functions.


In view of this, we cooperated with Booguu to visit the NAAC Shamshuipo District Elderly Community Service Centre to conduct a fall risk assessment for their elderly members and teach them simple exercises to improve their gait strength and balance. We hope to change their concept of fall prevention and reduce fall risk.
